Bahram is a filmmaker who has made films in Turkish and Azerbaijani throughout his career. None of them have been shown in Iran. When the Ministry of Culture refuses to grant his latest film a screening permit, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Together with producer Sadaf, he sets off on a journey across Iran to arrange secret screenings of his film. Divine Comedy is a sharp and funny film about freedom of expression and a man who challenges the clergy under Iran’s strict censorship regime.
