deLillos perform Suser avgårde in full for Rockefeller’s 40th anniversary
- Sold out
Rockefeller is proud to present deLillos’ Suser avgårde, celebrating the 40th anniversaries of both the album and Rockefeller! On Friday 13 and Saturday 14 November, deLillos will perform the entire album, along with other classic hits. deLillos are one of the bands that have played at Rockefeller more times than almost any other over the years, and they are invaluable to our history.
“We’ve played at Rockefeller 88 times, and thank you to everyone who has joined us on this fantastic journey since the beginning in 1986. It all started with Suser avgårde. Now our favourite club is celebrating 40 years, and so is our debut album. This deserves a celebration. Join us at Rockefeller for concerts 89 and 90!” – deLillos
Suser avgårde is deLillos’ debut album, released in 1986, a few months after Rockefeller opened its doors. The legendary album is considered a milestone in Norwegian pop and rock history and has, among other accolades, been named the greatest Norwegian album of all time by Dagsavisen. Some of the album’s best-known songs are «Min beibi dro avsted», «Finnes det en kvinne» and «Tøff i pyjamas»—songs that have become a defining part of Norwegian cultural heritage.
For over 40 years, deLillos have been one of the country’s most important pop and rock bands, consistently delivering quality in their lyrics, music and creativity. The band was formed in Oslo in 1984 and is considered one of the most prominent bands in Norwegian music, from the 1980s to the present day. deLillos have given us a string of classic songs and albums that continue to be discovered by new generations of Norwegians.
