Big Daddy Karsten

November 2026 marks exactly ten years since Karsten Marcussen came out as a gay artist. The milestone will be celebrated with a very special evening at Parkteatret: Ten Year Queer Party 2016 – 2026.

Big Daddy Karsten (aka Barry Antoinette/Karsten Marcussen) is a rapper, LGBTQIA+ activist and actor, known for brutally honest lyrics, uncompromising bars and an explosive stage presence. Over the past decade, he has established himself as one of the most prominent queer voices in Norwegian hip-hop, helping to push the boundaries of representation in a genre where few have gone before.

He first made his breakthrough with the duo Folkefiender, before building a strong solo career with songs such as «Hold Kjeft», the album «Katta ute av sekken» and an appearance in Melodi Grand Prix with «Smile». He has collaborated with artists such as Joddski and Tuva Syvertsen, made his mark on SkeezTV and YLTV, and shown a new side as an actor in the TV 2 series «Purk».

In 2026, he will release new music throughout the year, explore new sounds with, among others, Dr. Sepi and the duo project Tushie Riot, and continue combining rap, club energy, cultural commentary and an uncompromising personality in a way that makes him truly unique in Norwegian music.

At Parkteatret, it all comes together in a major anniversary concert featuring songs from across his career, new material, guests and surprises. This will be Karsten’s only Oslo concert in autumn 2026.

Expect a show full of rap, humour, raw energy, surprises and songs that have defined the past ten years. An evening for longtime fans, new listeners and everyone who has been part of the journey along the way!
