About the film:
Rwanda, 2012. In the years after the genocide against the Tutsis, local communities across the country continue their work for justice and reconciliation through local courts. Vénéranda, herself a survivor, leads conversations between victims and the families of the perpetrators, helping others move forward. But when she learns that her daughter has unexpectedly become pregnant, she is forced to confront her own convictions. The film was Rwanda’s first at Cannes and won the Caméra d'Or, the award for best debut film at Cannes.
