Barnas teaterlørdag: Askeladdens jul
A Norwegian Christmas theatre performance for children
Will Askeladden get the Christmas tree up before Santa arrives?
Askeladden has a lot to take care of before Christmas: washing the floor, carrying firewood and finding the Christmas tree stand. But he keeps getting interrupted. Mikkel Rev is also after Askeladden’s Christmas food, but ends up getting caught out. In the middle of all this, Askeladden forgets to put out the Christmas porridge for the fjøsnisse, a traditional farmyard Christmas gnome.
Fortunately, the fjøsnisse soon cheers up when he gets a spoonful of porridge and a few lines of «På låven sitter nissen», a traditional Norwegian Christmas song. And what about Santa? Will he come to Askeladden this year? A funny, heartwarming show with singing and music for young and old alike.
The performance lasts about 30 minutes and is suitable for children aged 3 to 100! Tickets can be picked up on the day at 11:00 at Loftet (the children’s section). The show is performed by Askeladden Friteater.
Barnas Lørdag is organised with support from Bufdir.
You can enjoy author events, storytelling sessions, film screenings, theatre and creative workshops here. Every Saturday, several activities for children are held at most Deichman libraries—and they’re completely free!
