About the film:
An impressive new film from the director behind Greta, the documentary about Greta Thunberg. In 1996, an expedition led by Swedish journalist Erling Söderström ventured into the Amazon to make contact with the isolated and myth-shrouded Korubo people. The grainy VHS footage from the 1990s occasionally calls to mind Werner Herzog’s masterpiece Aguirre, the Wrath of God.
Ever since that momentous first encounter, Söderström has dreamed of returning to the Korubo people. But when the ageing adventurer makes his way back to the Amazon, he receives a very different welcome from the one he expected.
