Agnes Obel
Live concert at Sentrum Scene
- Tickets available
Agnes Obel comes to Sentrum Scene on Friday 1. oktober 2027!
The Berlin-based Danish artist, songwriter and producer releases the much-anticipated The Meaning of Flowers on 18. september – her first album in six years. She is known for her atmospheric blend of alternative pop, neoclassical music, jazz and electronic music, and has enjoyed great success across Europe.
Agnes Obel’s music has also become a central part of the soundscapes of TV series, films, video games and fashion. Her music has featured in “The Last of Us”, “True Detective”, “Big Little Lies” and “Dark Souls III”, among others. “Riverside”, “Fuel to Fire”, “The Curse”, “September Song”, “It’s Happening Again” and “Familiar” – the list of songs embraced by other creative forces is long.
After five years away from the spotlight, Obel returned to the stage in 2025, including with a concert at London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall. It is hard to imagine a more fitting setting for Obel’s music to ring out and meet its audience.
The new album The Meaning of Flowers weaves together ideas and sources of inspiration from one of contemporary music’s most curious minds. The music draws on the poetry of Enheduanna, the world’s first named author, and philosophical ideas from Hannah Arendt and Emanuele Coccia, as well as Danish pop music from the 80s and 90s.
